Two hours covers a cutter shaping a stone, a setter closing kundan foil into gold, and an enameller firing meenakari colours in sequence. Each stop is somebody's livelihood rather than a demonstration, which is why we keep the groups to four and ask that nobody films the setters' hands.

Nothing is for sale on this walk and no commission is paid to anybody. If you want to buy afterwards we will introduce you to two houses we know and then leave you to it - our chauffeurs are on salary precisely so that no one is steering you.

Weekday mornings only; the workrooms shut on Sundays and stop early on festival days. All year, though May and June are genuinely hot upstairs.
